Sports & Recreation are a fun way to learn values and lessons that last for lifetime.
To inculcate these skills, PIE in collaboration with Gyan Vihar school kickstarted the PIE Olympics pre -event &the cauldron was lit by Sports captain.
Principal Sir also appreciated the initiative &said in his address that participation in such events
would promote sportsmanship; inculcate teamwork, discipline & respect necessary to ensure that students develop into confident and caring individuals.
Gyan Vihar School,Jaipur , organised an Inter-school Swimming Competition WAVES-2023, to commemorate its every year rituals to promote swimming as a competitive sport amongst students. The event was held in the school premises on 20 August 2023.
350 students of 23 schools of Jaipur came together to participate in the competition, displaying their swimming skills in varied styles – Free Style, Breast Stroke, Back Stroke, Butterfly Stroke and free style.The competition was held across age categories, namely – U8, U10, U12 U14 for both boys and girls. Among the other schools who participated in the event, St.Xavier’s School C-Scheme,Tagore International School featured on the winning list. The winners from each category were awarded with a certificate and a medal.
Honourable Chief guest and Director, Mr. Kanishk Sharma, Gyan Vihar School praised for the students who participated in the competition. Expressing his views about the event, he said, “At Gyan Vihar participation in different sports is highly emphasised as we believe that it helps in building essential skills in students, while also helping them stay fit. Respected Principal, Mr. Rakesh Upadhyay spoke about the importance of sports in students’ life.
Students learn best when they can see, hear, and experience things first-hand. School trips answer the requirements of all five senses.
The main objective of conducting a school trip for students is to reinforce experiential and contextual learning. Field trips are a way of enhancing classroom learning by making real world connections.
It expose them to different lifestyles, places and eras. Gyan Vihar organised a two day trip to Ranthambore which was thoroughly enjoyed by students &the parents thanked the management,principal &staff for such excursions.
